This kaleidoscope book/box honors Claude Monet and four of his iconic paintings from four different eras of his prolific career. It is wrapped in images of mandalas created from sections of his paintings. The cells inside the book/box are inspired by those mandalas.

The cover of the book is printed on fade proof wipeable vinyl and the inside of the box is fitted with foam/velvet inserts that hold the four individual scopes safely in place. The whole piece can even be placed on a bookshelf, where it resembles nothing more than a large beautiful art book.

The four individual scopes celebrate each of four paintings. Each has a cell that allows you to alter and play with the elements and colors of the painting, as if you were holding his brush. Each of the four scopes has a different mirror system.

#1 mirror system is a 3 mirror equilateral. #2 mirror system is a two mirror arched design. #3 mirror system is a two mirror 4 point square that resembles the shape of a painting. #4 is a classic 2 mirror 5 point system - a total, when combined with the four different interchangeable cells, of 16 different kaleidoscopes in the one set.

The eye piece fitted with a 3-diopter glass lens. First surface mirror is used throughout.

The book/box is 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 3 1/2" and each scope is 7" x 2 3/4".
